In response to my query to my attorney about the FP notices see her response below. And this is from an Attorney with 20+ years of immigration law experience. Anybody else in the same boat??:(
"I think we should wait. Yes, its been a while, but since is taking a long time for everyone, I think it just a backlog. Let's give it until after the first of the year. USCIS grinds nearly to a halt over the holidays.
Also, I got call from Senator XXX' office. For reasons I can't even imagine, your file, in its entirety, despite transfer notices to the contrary, is at Lincoln, where it was originally submitted by us as required. Your wife's file, also originally submitted to Lincoln with yours, was sent to California per the transfer notice, but was NOT returned to Lincoln, remaining in California. All this shifting may be a part of the cause of the delay.
After nearly 22 years in this field, and thinking I had pretty much seen it all, this is a new one."

Based on my receipt numbers and looking up on USCIS website, it appears my AOS application that was sent to NSC has been sent to California Center. I have not seen anybody's case being sent to CSC. Dunno how good or bad it is and whether it sppeds up/delays my EAD processing. Anybody had experience with CSC and got any of EAD/AP/GC approved from CSC.
My daughter's AOS: filed at NSC tranferred to CSC (RN say so) again transferred to TSC (online status: transferred to area Jurisdiction) so are the delays

Only a regular Lou Dobbs watcher will know, Lou never read a negative message posted by audiance on his show, and he will read only those messages who are racist, and literally hates immigrants.
My experience is sending messages to the person whom we are going to target won't help. We need to counter attack using a different and equally powerful channel. The negative comments we post on Lou Dobbs and CNN are never posted or maybe never read to the end.

you can get medicals in 2 hours.
Not sure if this is chicago/pittsburgh.
your only option is to find out by calling all numbers in chicago and pittsburgs.
People have flown in from various locations into chicago and got medicals in 2 hours.
also, ask your wife to get the immunization record of mmr and tetanus.
that will make your life easier.
x-ray is mandatory.

I first took 2 photos for me and 2 photos for my wife from Walgreens @7.99 per 2 copies. But the quality is not at all good.
So we went to Costco today and took the photos @4.99 per 2 copies and the quality is very good and they followed the USCIS specs.

Your spouse applied for H4/H1? Which one?
Applied for H1B. We already have the H1B approval notices. We also have EAD/AP. Still we got dragged into this.
The H1B sponsoring company is a large and famous Biopharma company with billions in market cap. AOS is also through the I-140 from that company.
Everything is way above board for us. Still we got stuck!

Sorry to hear about your situation. You should've taken unpaid leave for two weeks instead of a lay off. Now you definitely should not file AC21 and hope that the USCIS will not issue RFE (rarely happens). It doesn't matter how you quit, if the USCIS finds about it, it will probably deny I-485.
Regarding Shusterman's Q&A. I am not sure where is he coming from. The law does not provide for lay-off exception.
Recently I heard that if you are laid off from the company, then the 180 days period won't come into picutre and you can very well move to another company, provided your I-140 is approved and not revoked. I think they have made some modifications recently to the law on this type of cases. Talk to your Lawer to find out these changes.

This can be just a start but I think we must target this guy - I am sure he will start turning tables and flip flop ...
Remember, America is all about law suits and every corporate makes itself immune from Lawsuit but youtube, google, internet and media is something they cannot immune themsleves from.

I think I have joined IV in last 3 years or so...
Donated money once & have called congressmen & senators many times ...
Could someone please tell me -
What has been achieved by IV till date? I know we all meet elected reps, officials in washington dc ..... but I am interested in end result like not wasting visa numbers , implementing spillover & along these lines.
I have asked few friends to join IV but then if they ask me for IV accomplishments - i can't count any....
(1) Reversal of July 2007 bulletin
(2) Two year EAD AP
(3) Currently working on Same similar job ( AC 21).
(4) Push USCIS and DOS to publish data.

This is really sad and very unethical. As my lawyer would put it, the I-140 is owned by the employer that's why he was hesitant at first to give me a copy. So I guess, your employer can do this. I think he knows that you won't have the gut to expose him since this will also put you in an awkward situation since you paid for your labor and I-140 which, strictly speaking, is against the immigration law.
Think of other ways to get even with him.

Call the regular USCIS customer support number and double check the details of the visit. If it is a genuine appointment, it could have been recorded in their system.
Also, you should talk to your Attorney to make sure such visits are legal.
Never heard of it before, strange things are happening nowadays.
BTW, is your employer a consulting firm? Do you think he could be in the visa fraud hit list?
I have one week from now for his visit. He gave me his desk number too. So I guess he is still an ICE employee. I did not call him at that number though.
