the best to do is ignore him. Why do you guys even see his show (I never do and and so am blissfuly unaware of this). Same thing happened with one of my friends. He went to India immediately got married and brought his wife to US, the GC status would not update at the port of entry system that quick so he took a chance. You can give a try to schedule an appointment at the Chennai embassy for dependent visa (through your H1B). My friend spoke with a reputed law firm (I dont want to mention the name here but you all know 'her') who advised this and he got lucky.
As the priority dates are current you can apply for 485 for your spouse. Good Luck!

No. I am not an employee of any of the companies named in H1B visa fraud last week. The current employer is my the sponserer of my H1 B visa and also my first employer . I did not change my employer.
This does sound strange, do you know what was the reason for this officer's visit to your employer two months back? also, i would suggest make sure all your paper work is fine, I mean LCA etc. indicating your correct place of work and right wages.

In a matter of minutes my indicator has gone to 3 reds. Am I missing something... ?!!!
Dont worry too much about the reds. Even I used to have a couple of greens.
But when I saw many people complaining about why IV is not pursuing piecemeal,
I explained them about the Hispanic caucus and CIR.....I started getting reds
because of that.
People often give red even for rational and logical postings here if the information is uncomfortable.
In a matter of minutes my indicator has gone to 3 reds. Am I missing something... ?!!!

actually this memo, as far as my understanding goes, does not say it. there is no where the clause that filling AC21 documents means that it will become urgent for USCIS to make a decision on your i-140.
it is more applicable to the i-485 i.e. if your i-485 comes up for adjudication and you have file ac21 and your i-140 is pending as well, then the portability is only valid if i-140 is approved. of course after that to make sure that the portability is valid they will apply the "similar job" criteria.

MS is just a pretext for many who are here. MS is worthless if you are a software engineer.. you don't need MS to be coding in Java or .NET...
MS from some vague sidey backstreet community college cannot be compared to MS from other better off schools.
your proposal is distracting from the main agenda. CIR or other relief measures.
In the same lines as H1B, could we look into if its possible to add a quota for US Masters degree holders irrespective of country of birth for green Card also. This would be in addition to the existing Employment based quotas.
Does anyone know how they added 20k H1B quota for Masters degree holders? Who sponsored that bill? May be we should talk to the same people.
I would think there would be a little less resistance for this? This would ease the pressure on both EB2 and EB3.
