Talked to an io at neb sc.within 5 sec of me starting to talk the ffice interuppted and she apologosed for doing that and said because of huge vol of appli there is a delay in the receipt notice.i SAID I AM july 2 nd filer and she said it might be in the first week of aug..(i had said the same thing in my earlier post too after i spoke toa diff officer)..She asked to keep checking the check clearnace.

Guys...thanks for the support. But we need to find out and bring people who are suffered due to this. Once we get enough stories, I can create a draft. Along with these stories we can send the letter and start the campaign. So please spread this to everyone you know.

OK... now my primary project/goal from my side for this weekend is to make sure letter from my friends and known resources did their hand written letters to President or check if if they already did and worst case scenario make them print those letters sign them and mail to white house & copy to IV... I am pretty sure all our effort will NOT GO WASTE!!

I too am receiving a lot of these questions on about pick-ups/ drop-offs. Can you please start a thread for that purpose?
Some people will be arriving on the day of rally and returning right after the rally. If something can be done to pick them up/ drop them off, please let us know. Thanks!

When you work and pay social security taxes, you earn social security credits. Most people earn the maximum of four credits per year. Each of the three main Social Security programs accumulates credits in the same way.

How does this memo affect the AC21 portability if an approved labor cert is revoked? This also raises the question: Since the PERM cert is only valid for a certain period, can it be revoked after its expiration date?:confused::confused:

I gets very severe migraine attack almost everyday thinking about the GC !! I took so many pain killers(acetameno) almost everyday ..now they also stopped working on me...and due to these apin killers ..I became acidic ..acidity everyday..even without eating spicy things...my wife says, probably my lever damaged ..don't like to visit doctors ...will it get worse ? I can't escape visiting IV everyday !! Any remedy for me will be highly appreciated....
While a pray for your "lever"....i will suggest u see a doctor asap!!!
And I will also prescribe you channel all the pain into some positive energy by helping IV via contributions, volunteer work...and participatingin action items...all that is very rewarding!!! and will help you from going nuts, bananas and what have you!!

On a similar note, I kept reminding people at the DC rally to take it easy and walk slowly because the greencard office had closed early that day and they wouldn't get their GCs at the rally finish line, what was the hurry about? :)

I feel your pain with regards to consulting firms, but do not blame them for your issues. I know quite a few people from top tier universities in India/US who work for consulting firms and make at least 2-3X times money than minimum required for h1b. What is wrong with working for consulting firms? Such over generalizations only display ignorance and I would advise you to stay away from it.
Best of luck with visa lottery. To alleviate your pain I think you should join hands with IV and try to make the GC process a lot faster that way you don't have to worry about H1 at all. If the provision of admin fixes where one gets to apply for 485 without visa numbers being available goes through, you can go directly from Student OPT to 485 EAD.

I mean this is ridiculous.. this is my second go around in this stupid lottery.. last year I hadn't graduated so they put me in the bachelors quota.. this year the freaking masters quota is full.. i have a genuine offer from one of the big 4 accounting firms.. and have work experience to back it up
i'm sick of these consultant firms.. i wish I could work for the uscis and weed out these miserable cheapsters.. 6 years toiling in their education system, paying the damn taxes, and waiting for 1 smart person to come along and tell them its time to take care of these consultant companies and their consultants who get the jobs based on deceit and conmanship..

I am not sure whether should I consider myself under EB2- Jan 2004 or EB3 Jan 2004. Because, I didn't get any confirmation of the case interfiled. Of course its just this week that lawyer that initiated the interfile.
