The company filed for her H1B COS which was approved with new I-94. Lot of people with consulting firms especially spouses would be in similar situation and while following the forums, I haven't heard many denials with this reason i.e., joining the employer a little later for H1B approval.
So what are the chances of getting a RFE or denial? Since we already filed for 485, I am not sure if there is anything we can do.

India is India only... never compare it to US, and I do not think there is glamour attached to US green card, People who have the mind set of freedom and education and knowledge with a better quality of life still migrate to USA. There is no doubt about it India's economic grwoth comparing to US is really nothing. And never compare these two countries and never try to change the mind set of a whole generation, for business needs India have a unique culture, with lot of diversity. Still there is lot of poor familes (below the poverty line) in India, education has not reached the rural areas of India yet.
US economy is down and receission is meant to happen every 5 years in US some times to recover and job creation it takes longer if you read the US history and economics you will understand better. This time the open global media made it a big issue, that is about it. When the economy improves and things are better, again your so called glamour comes back. Glamour is in people's mind set, seeing movies and reading somebody else's writing. Still USA is far far better in living and social activities than in India.

Has anyone thought of the people who missed the august 17 deadline because the labor was not cleared within time. Because of no mistake from ourside, we have to suffer. What a screwed up legal situation ?

For those who think this is like another forum like alcoholics anonymous etc. I think that is what this is(not literally though). Without immigration voice or like forums we could be a lot worse. it is good to vent, exert feelings and come out with experiences and share them P2P. This is one of our life lines. One way or the other immigration affects us. Each one takes it in different ways. Like it or not.:cool:

The 111th Congress begins its lame duck session on November 15th. The major item on the agenda will be what to do with President Bush�s tax cuts which are set to expire on December 31, 2010. This election was a major boost to the Republicans and it will affect the tone of this session. There are two immigration items on the agenda. Just before the election, Sen. How about this ,my labor was offered to an employee,who was leaving the company, even when I was working for the company,until I threatened the employer that I will report this matter to the DOL.

It is not so easy to convince Sen Grassley.
Gotta love this system...
Two years ago; Grassley sent a questionnaire to the top 10 Indian outsourcing companies of how they use non immigrant visas.
They did not have any legal obligation to answer his query. They answered his questions by non answering it.
Grassley then starts to increase the rhetoric and starts pressuring uscis/dol to start investigations.
uscis/dol start investigatin and denying cases and study it and find fraud.
now; Grassley is getting his way and starting to change policy.
Nascom senses game is over and come begging which is exactly what grassley wanted in the first place.
At the end; he will get these guys to agree to tough measures (ie., lca requirements for L-1; tougher measures on h-1b, etc.
See how Microsoft answered differently when they got the query and compare to these guys.
This system created in USA has a way of making you conform to their behaviour willingly or through long and painful way. Looks like they had to learn through long and painful way.

Because the USCIS did not implement name check procedures properly in the first place - they are not required by law and are not codified in the regulations, the USCIS can implement new procedures simply by issuing inter-office memorandum. One day is enough to do this. I anticipate this may happen within the next two months, more likely early next year. But one can never predict the USCIS, it does not have logical behavior :)

EB2 likes visa bulletin predictions.
EB3 does not.
That explains the green or red in my opinion.
Accessing IV forums after a long time... posting to this thread, though not predecting on VB's... May be the data that were made available through USCIS Home Page (http://www.uscis.gov) (http://www.uscis.gov/USCIS/New%20Structure/3rd%20Level%20(Left%20Nav%20Children)/Green%20Card%20-%203rd%20Level/Pending%20Form%20I485%20Reports.pdf) already gave some hint on how the PD's are going to be in the monthly VB's and most people understand the number and are not predicting any good movement and not posting any on threads like this. Only the luckly EB2-I folks, who are getting a good chunk of the numbers for now thorugh spill over etc want to predict.. but again, too many questions there too... if quartely spillover or will happen in FY last quarter or something else... or .... The VB's / PD's etc.. nothing is going to make any difference and ease the pain of pending EB AOS applicants, unless there is change in law that would provide something to alleviate the EB backlog... When it is going to happen.. any time from now and at the least we can hope will happen before the end of Obama's Presedency like we hoped CIR would have happened before Bush left office :mad:

You're right, the point I was making is the real intention of these Senators...When you want to scr.ew somebody you ask questions that are hard and mostly unanswerable....Take this example, Look at the requirement that Hyderabad Consulate has put up for H1B Visa Stamping, it sounds like they are saying don't you dare!!!

Sats123, Chanduv23 is correct, also reading that with the paystubs you can avoid the employer letter saying that you work in such position and for such salary, finding out what position they used to file your labor (did you find it in the database on my previous post) and considering that you are about to get ripped off, it would be advisable that you go through that lawyer that someone was saying charges 1000 to file your papers and 500 for your spouse;
