You say all these because you understand. Most of these police officers out there (and even Immigration Enforcement officers) dont understand the laws they are enforcing. I once asked an american embassy consular officer during an H1B renewal interview how long I had to stay in the US if I get laid off from my job. She smiled and said she doesnt know. Ironic right? That is US Immigration laws for you. So complex yet so unreasonable.

Don't know if this would be of any help to 3-year degree holders or not, but World Education Services (WES) has recently changed its policy- it now considers 'selected' Indian 3-year bachelor's degree as equivalent to a US bachelor's degree. WES is a very well-reputed evaluation company.

USCIS has been publishing, the total number of application for all kind of services have been falling sharply in last 2 years. This is plain harassment and nothing else. I think it all started in 2007. As you guys know there were mass applications filed in 2007 from everyone who were current including EB2/ROW/I/C and EB3 /ROW/I/C.
Just my Honest Opinion.

Is your NC cleared? If yes, shouldn't you have received your gc in early 2007 itself before July 07 messed up EB3?
Even if its not cleared, you would have surely crossed 180-day barrier, yes?
I'm not EB3 but if you can post updates in this thread related to your case, it would satisfy some of my curiosity.
I don't know if my NC is cleared. Tried to find it couple of times calling over phone but always ran into unfriendly IO officers.
Got out of BEC in dec 2006, I140 cleared in Jan 2007 but then my PD became current only in June 2007. And due to laziness of my law firm, my I-485 filing did not happen in June and got dragged into July 07 mess.
I think if USCIS had initiated my Namecheck as per normal timeline (sometime around when my I-485 filed , i.e anywhere between July - Sep 2007), then yes, I think it crossed 180 days long time back.

This Jan 1,2007 date is another Joke by this lawmakers. These undocumented workers came crossing the border without any port of entry evidence. How can they prove they came before or after that date.

If you are taking a supplementary examp of one subject of your previous sumester clearly says you have not graduated on Dec 2000, but only after June 2002. I dont' think any school give away degree without completing all exams.
I have heard many such cases, people want to take advantage of EB2 and filed without meeting the requirements. But unfortunately many times they are trapped.
There is only one way, talk to a good immigration lawer. The good thing is, this is not a crime, you still have enough evidence to prove that this is a user error and you have chance to file again. Go with EB3 for safe. But ONLY A VERY GOOD IM LAWER can do this.

and to your point, even i am not comparing any schools... i am just saying that there should be a quota for iim/iit grads...

lemme make it simple so that u understand, they have 20k quota for master's [donno how this idea was sold]. In those terms, selling the idea for having an additional quota for Master's students in GC should be relatively easier than any other campaign.
