I would think IT experience is the same anywhere so taking it to canada should be ok? If not there are plenty of other management jobs there. It might be a new start but in a one year timespan you will be well established.

As for masters, are you persuing MBA? How about PMP?
I think US experience will hold good in canada, at at least in IT. Canadian experience matters for immigrants who directly come from their home countries, never having lived in north america before. The trick is to find a good enough job for your experience level .. what is the point of going there and doing the same kind of job that you were stuck with here ?. IV core team is very active and working hard. Just because we do not see their posts on the forum does not mean they are not active. Aman Kapoor or Waldenpond- IV founder is very much active and working hard on this mission despite having his greencard. We have regular daily discussions as a team and he is one person I have seen who sleeps, drinks and live this effort all the time. He has spent his personal money to travel to DC and still takes time off from work to travel to DC on regular basis. Likewise there are others who are committed to this effort and are working hard on the tasks assigned to them. You see me most of the time writing on the forum because in the core team, this is the task assigned to me. I communicate with members. If we have everyone posting on the forum, it will not be a good use of our limited time off work on daily basis. Also know that IV is not forums. Just by writing on the forums, nothing ever gets done on the hill. There are several tasks that we have to do in this advocacy effort to get something done. You can see more regular updates on the donor forum on what we do behind the scenes. It takes lot of effort, commitment and patience to be active in this effort because results are not immediate or guaranteed. But with our efforts we have have had our successes and we are positive about the future successes. The key is to be consistent, persistent and passionate about this advocacy work. We need to understand that we as an organization represent hundreds of thousands of people suffering due to the broken immigration system despite following all the rules and being legal in this country. This long wait has caused lot of pain and suffereing in people's lives and careers. Everyday we feel the pressure of hopes of thousands of our members who look upto us with some ray of light. As leaders of this organization we carry this responsibility bravely every day on our shoulders and feel motivated from the support of our members and the passion we have for this cause.

@snathan, sorry pal i thought you must those fake identities in disguise who could pull you back from filing a complaint since they were one from the run, anyways with your suggestion the consular processing i understand there is a chance to come back, but to be true these 3 months have set me back by 3 years, with the consultant not picking my call when i want to ask him about the situation, running from company to company to attend an interview, they all taking a 5-6 hour interview and then then getting back 2 months later only to tell you that
they had another senior in line from the company for promotion , they gave him the job and no outside candidates are being considered, other companies also making a mockery of the process of hiring. I would be better going to australia and working from within there, yes i did pay for my H1B but to be so true as i want to be i though it was a procedure at the companies and only realized after i had handed it over by reading this forum that i had also become in cohoots with this consultant. I am not a cry baby here , just that people flying in from all parts of the world , India, Australia, Canada and god knows from where, should be made aware that such things could happen to you and beware, for me the beware sign a little late as i believed at first started my research later.

@poorslumdog when i started to research i found that this company has done this to many Indian guys, many Canadians by charging visa fees and charging some extra dough and sat on it like a vulture, did nothing to call them to the country and some have never reported to work after 3 years of visa filing, now why is this whole tantrum of filing then, they have been expanding with offices in various areas in US and it acts a good mark on
their company in terms of view from a outside and successful visa filing with candidate money with no responsibility of placing then is a goldmine, they are like half hits in terms of placing and calling people here, i met with an Indian guy who had come here on his own and changed the company finally as he went thru the same scum of this company.
Seems like there are victims falling for this modus operandi time after time.

I have talked to IMG sales rep, he said they won't cover for pre existing conditions. He also said that as far as his knowledge is concerned there is no company out there that covers pre existing conditions when I asked him about it.
My final assumption is that any insurance we buy anywhere, just covers illnesses that are developed after the coverage starts.

We are getting started out as a new thread towards this administrative costs.
As a couple of members mentioned that the core will not take any money from the funds members contributed, and its is really unfortunate that Aman + all the core team have to spend a lot of money out of their pocket. I am not a CPA but have seen that a lot of NOP do set aside administrative funds. That how the organization would work. The good ones will have only 10% of funds towards administrative cost. The BEST ONE LIKE IV has NONE (No money for administrative cost!!!). I am sure the core will not want to dive into the funds people are giving BUT can members send money seperately to set up an administrative fund.
I like khodalmd idea, I know not everyone is going to chip in, but if we have atleat 1000 people we can all send $100, so that atleast the core team dont take on the financial burden of the entire community. People sent flowers, a lot of people sent flowers...I am sure atleat 1000 appreciative members can shell out $100 for IV.
I am game for the $100 suggested by anzerraja (I think)

As per my research and talking to customer service of few american and india insurance companies, You are partly right that no one covers pre-existing conditions.
But indian companies like Icici lombard, Bajaj allianz, tata aig etc cover emergency life saving treatment even if it was due to the pre-existing conditions. Which means if one is diabetic, reguler sugar check and doc vists will not be covered but if say patients develops a critical condition (e.g kideny failure etc) then the treatment is covered.
But american companies do not cover even the emergency treatment.

- Talk to the leaders of this campaign. Do not just sit back after voting. Ask what help they need and what work you can do as a volunteer. People affected need to take lead and work hard for any fix. This will not cost you any money. All you need to give is your time.
- Consider signing up for recurring contributions every month. It takes lot of resources to run an advocacy effort and your support is critical.

I completely agree with you. The best thing the forum can do for such people is to educate them and the best way to do that is with case studies of what situation were people in and how they fought back. It easy to tell people to take the plunge, any one will hesitate to jump into darkness.

Rupee is not fully floating currency that doesn't mean you can control what the exchange rate is going to be. No company or congolmerate can manipulate market like that.

does this mean that EB3 ROW can't use all available visa for 3rd qtr that is why there were visas available for India EB2 (hence the established cutoff date of Dec 2003). but this should only happen if EB3 ROW is current but it is not.
