Hello All,
I suggested this in my last two posts and I am suggesting this again. Emails , faxes to Rep will not create visibility of the problem. What we need to do is, do something big, like a DC rally again. One of the benefits behind doing this will be, everyone in this country i has their eyes on DC for presidential elections. Hence more visibility for us.
Secondly the topic of these three bills is hot, if we don't do anything now, it will turn cold, and then will be forgotten.
What we really need is a huge volume of high skilled workers in DC, not just a handful. Please let us all get together in DC again and push for these bills. We will get a lot of visibility. How about sending flowers to congress members?
Please let us all act on it!!

A fix without AC-21 does not bring lot of relief for us, I hope they receive I-485 and allow us to use AC-21.

Maybe she can apply for F-1 visa first, then get married...Let her come to US on F-1 and then get married here in local county...But it's tedious and lengthy process though, apart from the heartburn ur gonna give to many back home by postponing ur already fixed marriage...

All the people who crib about red dots: There is nothing IV can do about it.
This is a feature of the forum software.If some one uses foul language in forum posts then admins can warn them or block them. It is not possible if they do it in comments.
Actuallly, I suggest IV kickout anyone who cribs about red dots or that someone is using foul language in PMs/comments.
Keep the eye on the ball guys. If you see all the bullshit the IV admins bare with some other guy showing up every few weeks asking questions as if IV Core is getting rich off of the contributions. And some other guy shows up with a great plan (no sarcasm intended) asking CORE to make his thread sticky instead of keeping the thread on top by bumping it every few hours or so.Then when the core doesn't respond to their idea/request to make the thread sticky start abusing them. They take all that in stride and still continue to pour their hearts into something they believe in.
Now here are people so worried that they got a red dot and need the grievance be addressed. If not they will be afraid to post. If all it takes some one to stop you from posting your ideas is to give a red dot, how can any progress be made?

Those who complains about curruption in back home, will NOT try to improve system back home and also in case of GC processing, their contribution will be only "Negative comments" but NO constructive approach to improve ANY systems..

I am writing to inform you of how the country based quotas imposed on Employment (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?p=335690#) Based green cards are unfair and totally illogical. When I immigrated to the US, I believed that this country was a meritocracy where you were judged based on your abilities and qualities. These country based quotas reward people depending on where they or their ancestors were born. This causes people from India and China to wait over a decade to get a green card whereas someone from another country with similar or lesser abilities can obtain permanent residence in a very short time (about an year).
Since these EB category based green cards are awarded for professional skills, imposing a country based quota just does not make any sense. I urge you to work with Congress and change this unfair policy and reinforce that America is truly a society that celebrates meritocracy.

I have been in the US for over 10 years. I work for company ABC, for which I am happy to say, I recently wrote an algorithm (patent pending) which brought in about 10 million dollars worth of contracts to my company.

Even after you are here illegally, you can correct things and take a legal turn. there are so many cases where people who have overstayed or crossed over illegally, got themselves deported and or brought themselves out of the closet and applied and got their citizenships.

My I-140 is approved in 2006 and now i have filed my I-485. My employer has not given me any kind of doucments like I-140 approved document or Labour Substitution document. The only form he gave is ETA 9035E after my substitue labour was approved. If I want to change job after 180 days using AC21 do I need any of doucments from this employer. If my employer is not ready to give , what is other alternative. Plesae advice.

This is very very important for oversubscribed countries. We know IV is working hard to address the retro. This is also equially important. Even if we achive in incresing the EB visa numbers (by SKIL/CIR) by 2 times or 3 times it will not be usefull for India and China. Thats why it is very important.
In FY2005 India consumed about 16,000 EB2 visa. The total visa issued still about 40,000 only. From 2006 it is going to be 2800 only. Just compare 16,000 with 2,800. Even my attorney says the same, no need to inform CIS - when we get the RFE we will see.
Can you kindly let me know all the documents I need to gather and what I need to request from new employer in order to submit AC21 bunch to CIS.
